This year, the monthly use ratio of 300-series scrap stainless steel has increased by 5-10 points compared with the same period last year. The total amount of scrap stainless steel used in the whole year is 4.3068 million tons, an increase of 1.5666 million tons or 57.17% over last year. The average annual usage ratio is 24.32%, an increase of 7.81% over last year.
There will be 8.42 million tons of new production capacity in 2022, and the annual crude steel output is expected to be 37.68 million tons, an increase of 2.02 million tons compared with 2021. Among them, the 300 series was 19.03 million tons, an increase of 6.94%, the 200 series was 11.76 million tons, an increase of 4.00%, and the 400 series was 6.9 million tons, an increase of 3.3%. The increase in production means that the demand for raw materials has also increased.
